Family therapy

ARCS supports families through some of their hardest moments — from reunification and family court processes to the everyday work of rebuilding relationships. Our help spans court-informed services and broader family therapy, always grounded in an understanding of attachment, separation and trauma.

Family reunification & court services

We work with parents, children and the professionals involved in their matters. Our practice is grounded in an understanding of attachment, separation and trauma, and in the realities of statutory and family court systems.

Referrals may come from families directly, or from lawyers, Independent Children's Lawyers and other practitioners.

Reunification support

Therapeutic support for families working towards safe, sustainable reconnection at a considered pace.

Court-informed assessment

Assessment and reporting that understands the dynamics of separation and the requirements of statutory systems.

Navigating the system

Steady guidance for families through family court and statutory processes.

Family therapy

Beyond court and reunification work, we offer family therapy to help families understand one another, repair relationships and move forward together. We work with the whole family or particular relationships within it, at a pace that feels safe.

Strengthening relationships

Rebuilding trust, connection and understanding between parents, children and family members.

Communication & conflict

Finding safer, clearer ways to talk through tension and repair ruptures within the family.

Change, grief & transition

Support through separation, blended families, loss and other significant family transitions.
