Trauma-informed
Safety, choice and pace come first. You stay in control of what you share and when.
ARCS is a Western Australian not-for-profit providing specialist therapeutic support for those affected by adoption, separation and family disruption.
We work from an attachment-informed, relational understanding: the idea that early relationships and experiences of separation shape how we see ourselves and connect with others throughout life.
That means we don't rush, and we don't make assumptions. We start by listening, and we move at a pace that feels safe for you. Our practice is grounded in both research and lived experience.
Safety, choice and pace come first. You stay in control of what you share and when.
What you tell us stays with us, within the bounds of professional and legal practice.
Deep, focused experience in adoption, separation and family court matters.
ARCS grew out of research and a commitment to people whose experiences of adoption and separation had too often gone unrecognised. We honour the contribution of Jennifer Newbould, whose work helped lay our foundations.
Today we continue that work — supporting individuals and families, partnering with professionals, and developing the training and resources this field needs for the future.
When you're ready, we're here to listen.
